A pair of Folk Art jester masks that are original Venetian creations, entirely hand-drawn and handcrafted, circa 2000. Italian Artists have realized these pieces with respect of craftsmanship traditions and following original designs developed in Venice for “Commedia dell’Arte” during the late 17th century.
The coated papier mâché faces for a man is hand decorated with scroll motifs. The trimmed hat and collar ornaments are in monochrome and gold embroidered felt, ending with small metal jingle bells.
Complete with opera sticks, the masks can be used for an elegant masquerade ball as well as hung on a wall as decorative wall art.
