Early 20th century English Folk Art decoy duck form
A working example of an early 20th century English Folk Art decoy. Hand carved from wood, with lead weight still in place at the base with glass eyes. This example is worn and aged in all the right places as shown in the photos provided. A good example now more a decorative object with a naïve Folk Art look.
Size in inches: H 7” x W 13” x D 5”
Origin: England
Period: Early 20th century
Material: Pine
Condition: Completely solid in structure and form, fading and wear across the surfaces with worn surface and losses of paint in areas. It’s exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas in this piece, therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment.
