The painting of the dial has a lovely ancient cracklure with rust and paint loss, marks of a long life. A faint makers signature visible. It’s original hand cut brass hands fitted with the original retaining washer, all as found by our buyer on a local estate. The fully working seconds hand has lost its tip.
The original movement was mostly missing, our clockmaker has skillfully fitted a modern quartz battery movement for ease and reliability while retaining the beautiful original hands and brass retaining washer. The seconds hand is also fully working. The date dial is not driven by the movement.
A hanging hook is fitted to the rear. A unique timepiece for anywhere in your home. Measures: 18.75″ x 13″.
