Antique Alder Wood Kitchen Worktable, Bohemia, 1850s

Completely restored 207 cm spruce and alder wood desk kitchen, farmhouse or refectory work table originating from Riesengebirge, Bohemia, era Biedermeier around 1850s. Carefuly restored while showing off its age and decadeds of use on alder desk and strechers making this piece a very authentic and original. Height is 87 cm and depth is 95 cm. Table has been soaked in lye, work on wood construction and light repairs to desk, frame painted in english green, patinated, strecher coated with linseed oil, desk stained and coated with 3 layers of Osmo hardwax oil. Sound frame. Obviously wood has traces of inactive wormwood. Heavy around 40 kg.
