Annamese Blue and White Ceramic Jar, Chu Dau kiln, Vietnam, circa 1500. A globular form with narrow neck decorated in under glaze cobalt blue of lotus petals, the lobed body decorated in leafy tendrils and four petaled flower blossoms with a swirl band surrounding the trimmed, raised and unglazed foot, brown iron wash on the base.
