Good quality swedish commode, quite possibly from the dalarna region.
Heavy chest of drawers made from solid thick pine. Rectangular top with a hand painted blue and green floral design which is on a grey background. 3 large deep drawers below the top surface, which have had the grain hand painted over to show through the deep red base colour, this effect has been repeated on the sides.
Standing on later feet, which likely date from the mid 20th century. No keys.
Later fitted handles, which have been in place for some time. Shrinkage to top surface, which is natural and expected, but structurally sound. Expected fading and minor surface marks to woodwork. Height is slightly different from left to right, which only indicates this was a real made rustic piece. Minor evidence of dead inactive treated worm.
