Vintage Framed Signed Portraiture Painting Napoleon on Marengo in the Russian Campaign

Vintage oil on board, signed and ornately framed painting of Napoleon in the midst of his unsuccessful Russian campaign. Note the fur bicorn hat and cape, Napoleon’s expression of defeat and the fiery, bewildered eyes of his famous horse, Marengo. Exquisitely framed, this painting measures approximately 21.5” wide, 26” tall and 2.25” deep. Board is 12” x 16”. Signed “Morse” and acquired in a Brussels art gallery in the mid 1980s. In excellent condition.
