Hand painted mid 19th century swedish pine wall cupboard circa 1861.
Good quality traditional hand painted swedish wall cupboard. Made from pine and painted in a blue/orange and russet red scheme. Cornice edged to top and bottom. Hand painted floral design to the panelled door front. Initialed to the top p.F.S and dated on the bottom with roman numerals mdccclxi which translates as 1861.
Opens to an interior of 2 fixed shelves. Original metalwork fixings to the reverse which allow it to be fixed to the wall. Could also be used free standing as well.
No key, door is held closed by a latch on the side.
Ideal for use as a bathroom cabinet or in the entrance/hallway.
Obvious loss and fading to paintwork. Evidence of minor dead/inactive worm that has been treated.
