A very rare and extraordinary Pair of Antique Inlaid Consoles from New England and saiid to be from the Boston area.
Exquisite construction with D shaped tops and fine string inlays on the apron panels and Curly Maple inlaid panels in the center and diamond shapes on the tops of the legs. Raised on square tapering legs with string inlays.
Provenance: The Table Pair were previously owned by the American Actress Dina Merrill (Nedinia Marjorie Hutton 1923-2017). Miss Merrill , an Actress, Heiress, Socialite, Business Woman and Philanthropist had starred in many well known movies including, Operation Petticoat (With Cary Grant), The Young Savages, I’ll Take Sweden and Butterfield 8 among many others.
The Pair were acquired at American Antiques, Southampton.
Condition: Please see all detail photos. The Tables are in very good condition with some marks, fine scratches to the tops and a few very slight age-related edge losses which do not diminish the exceptional presentation.
