Vintage Design
Pair of sublime bird’s-eye maple ebonized side tables with gold leaf painted tops these tables came from a client of mine who has recently sold one of their chelsea homes, they had the house set up approximately 20 years ago for visiting family and friends to use when in london. The property was only ever used four of five times during this period, I can’t tell who made them but they are expertly made, hand carved from bird’s-eye maple and then gold leaf painted. In terms of the condition the ebonized finish has some light chips from age and transport, the bold leaf tops and round side pieces have age related ware, it all adds to the look and feel.
