Pair of french art deco bookends signed h fady in bronze

a delightful pair of bronze and marble bookends that are finely cast with elephants in a naturalistic pose.

with a beautifully aged patina and of good quality they stand on black and white veined marble bases. There is green baize underneath each base.

both bookends are signed by the maker h fady, who operated in the early 1900s.
