Antique Pine Sideboard, East Germany

Beautiful East German sideboard from the late 19th century. This kitchen cabinet is made of pine wood and the doors are still provided with the original drawn glass. This model is quite exceptional with this chassis. Normally, there is usually a closed cabinet under the glass part. In this sideboard it is a kind of side table with outstanding legs and a graceful shelf and drawer. Various types of painting techniques used to decorate the box on the outside of the cabinet. The inside of the upper cabinet is painted green with a deep shelf and two shallow shelves. At the back are the cracks in the past with strips taped newspapers. And in one place there is an old cork tucked to go against pests. Naturally, this furniture is fully treated against woodworm, restored where necessary and coated with wax. A wonderful special addition to your kitchen or living room!
