Exquisitely hand-crafted by Philip Schneider in Frankfurt, Germany, in the late 19th century. Built at the height of the golden age of the carousel amusement ride, this exceptionally executed prancer standing style carousel horse. Intricately detailed, polychrome decorated, professionally restored and repainted in the past, mounted on a later cast iron base display stand.

In 1972, the carousel was bought and installed at Carowinds Theme Park, North Carolina, United States, were it operated until 1974.
