French Ceramic Soup Tureen with Geometric Decor by Emile Masson, Vallauris, France, 1960s

Emile Masson, a highly reputed ceramist who worked as a decorator in the Grandjean Jourdan workshops, was responsible for the silhouettes of women’s faces on the faux-wood decor.
This tureen is atypical in terms of its shape and geometric motifs, and also displays extraordinary expertise in the enamelled stoneware technique.
It’s in perfect condition and shines with a thousand lights.
